Helen has worked in the legal field for over 30 years, starting out as a law clerk and then as a paralegal, and obtained her Paralegal Licence in 2008. She has worked for both plaintiff and defence counsel in the areas of personal injury, medical malpractice and insurance defence.
Over the past 20+ years, Helen’s practice has been strictly plaintiff-oriented, and her focus has been mainly with accident benefits claims, slip-and-fall injuries and LTD claims. Helen represents her clients on their accident benefits claims from application through to arbitration. She is employed with Jewitt McLuckie & Associates LLP and assists the lawyers with their personal injury files. Helen is Vice Chair on the CCLA Paralegal Committee, and is a member of both the Law Society of Ontario and of the County of Carleton Law Association. She is also a volunteer with Reach Canada.
In her spare time, Helen enjoys biking, hiking, gardening and going on long walks in the forest with her dog, Tux.
